Karma may not always work, but when it does, is it ever sweet. Then again, in this case, it might not have been karma that intervened, but just one badass great grandfather.
Businessman Andrew Adamson, 59-years-old, was returning home from a social event when his wife noticed that their home had been broken into — in fact, the thugs were inside at that very moment.
Adamson didn’t need police to fight off the three thugs that had invaded his home, but only his bare hands. The terrifying incident was all captured on a security camera outside his home in Northamptonshire, UK — and the footage is crazy. Somehow, Adamson manages to ward off all three, even as they try to strike him with two-foot-long crowbars. Plus, wearing a suit and holding a briefcase probably doesn’t make fighting any easier.
Watch the video below.
The footage was just released following the jailing of two out of three of the men for aggravated burglary. Adamson didn’t escape the attack unscathed. He’s had to have seven stitches after the burglars cracked open his head during the altercation.
Adamson himself explained to the Daily Mail what happened after the burglars ran to the streets and he chased after them:
I was trying to force him off and one slipped by me and took my briefcase. I followed them out into the street and I got hold of the other fella but the taller assailant came back for him and pulled a razor out so I decided that was the time to let go. I got hit several times over the side of my head and had to have seven stitches. I was bleeding like a stock pig. If my wife had been here on her own that night I dread to think what would have happened.
They came here because, I believe, they thought there were large amounts of money here. But that just proves their lack of intelligence. I was not just going to let them stand by and ransack my house – I did what any good husband would do. I wanted to protect my home and protect my wife. There was no way I was going to let them go without a fight. They say an Englishman’s home is his castle – but I think I just acted on instinct. I was not going to let them get away with it – and somehow I managed to turf them all out of the house one by one.
