As if CBS’ The Big Bang Theory isn’t entertaining enough on its own, the cast of the popular show put on a performance within a performance, at a recent live taping.
On Oct 23, co-star Kaley Cuoco — who plays Penny — led a flash mob on set, surprising executive producers Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steve Molaro as well as the live audience.
Cuoco’s sister Bri Cuoco choreographed a routine, set to Carly Rae Jepsen’s mega-hit “Call Me Maybe.” As the cast prepared for a take, a nearby crew broke out into dance as Cuoco, along with Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Simon Helberg (Howard), Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Mayim Bialik (Amy), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), and Jim Parsons (Sheldon) feigned surprise.
Not before long, all the cast members except for Galecki and Parsons joined in as the showrunners looked on. Our favorite part came after the routine when everyone got back into position to continue taping and Parsons delivered his famous “Bazinga!”
