I’m not even much for dance, but even I have to admit this is impressive and captivating.
Dancers Amelia Rudolph and Roel Seeber selected a rather unconventional setting for their recent choreographed dance — the side of Oakland’s City Hall building. Suspended by wires and aided by a camera angle that makes it seem as thought they’re defying gravity, Rudolph and Seeber performed a dance that will most likely make your jaw drop.
The performance, part of Oakland’s 2014 Art + Soul Festival, is captured from the ground and from the air, with the aid of GoPros, so all of us less graceful schmuck too afraid to go up there and try it can still witness the majesty of their dance.
