WATCH: Disabled Dog Learns to Run on His New, 3-D Printed Legs

Derby the dog was born with underdeveloped front legs, and left in a shelter where he would almost certainly be put down. Luckily, a caring woman adopted the disabled Derby. Even more luckily, that woman happened to be a director at a 3-D printing firm.

That firm managed to provide Derby with a new pair of makeshift legs, allowing him to run and play like other dogs do without the burden of the wheelcart he was used to. His adopted mother Tara Anderson saw how the cart limited his mobility and developed custom-made prosthetics for her new best friend.

Watch Derby’s journey and eventual triumph over his disability in the video above. He starts running with his new legs at about 2:00.
