The Walking Dead star Seth Gilliam was arrested for driving under the influence at high speeds over the weekend. Now footage from his 2 a.m. arrest video has been released online.
Gilliam, who plays the conflicted Father Gabriel on the popular zombie series, and allegedly took police on a four-minute high speed highway chase. During the chase the actor reportedly hit triple-digit speeds, clocking out at 107 mph in a 55-mph zone, before he was pulled over.
Cops reported the smell of booze and performed a field sobriety test—Gilliam reportedly blew a .107 blood alcohol level on the breathalyzer.
According to reports from TMZ authorities found a joint when they searched the actor’s car, and Gilliam admitted to having three beers and a shot of alcohol when questioned about his intoxicated state.
He was handcuffed and taken away to Fayette County Jail, where he was later released on $9,818 bond.
Footage from the entire incident was captured on a dash cam video, and some of that footage has been made available to the public.
During the dramatic encounter with police, officers can be heard yelling “I need your hands where I can see ‘em. Come back here.” We see Gilliam exit the vehicle and be placed in handcuffs.
Gilliam has been charged with a DUI, possession of marijuana, reckless driving and speeding.
