If your curious mind ever wondered what it would be like to step on molten lava, this video will answer all of your questions.
YouTuber Alex Rivest recently posted a video of someone demonstrating “how viscous the molten rock is” by briefly stepping on a slow-moving portion of a flow.
As you can see, the lava is actually quite gelatinous; it quickly springs back into form after his foot is removed from the surface.
Considering that the temperature of lava is about 1,292 to 2,192 °F, it was wise of him not to stick his foot in any further.
Of course, we don’t recommend anyone trying this on their own.
