De’Andre Johnson, Florida State University quarterback, has been charged with misdemeanor battery after surveillance video showed him punching a woman in a bar last month.
The 19-year-old was at the West Tennessee Street bar Yiannis when the incident occurred. As pictured in the video, the the duo appeared to have a disagreement. At one point, it appears Johnson tried to pull her away from the bar. The woman responded by raising her fist and taking a swing at him. The football player then decked her with force.
The forceful blow drew blood from the woman, and she appeared quite shaken.
State Attorney Willie Meggs took quick action and charged the quarterback.
