To those who haven’t visited, Japan seems like some sort of mythical place, a nation split between samurai warriors roaming the countryside and city-slickers purchasing every product and food from high-tech vending machines.
It turns out Japanese people actually have high-tech machines to accomplish every task, including parking a bicycle. The above video depicts a Japanese bicycle parking machine in all its Rube Goldberg-esque glory, as it accepts a bike before lowering it into a steel labyrinth of thin slots perfectly made for storage.
It’s like something out of science fiction, and we love it. Watch the quick video above.
