Victoria’s Secret is not the first product that comes to mind when thinking about Super Bowl commercials — but, then again, when you’re a company targeting men in a certain age range, it actually makes a ton of sense.
It stars Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel and other Victoria’s Secret Angels, in full football gear, playing a game that’s both spirited and sexy, especially at the end when the helmets come off and the ladies walk away from the camera. (Proving, once again, that stretch football pants are sexy on both men and women.) This video, however, is just a teaser. According to the VS YouTube page, you need to “…tune in to Super Bowl XLIX on February 1 to watch an all-new television commercial from Victoria’s Secret, after the fourth quarter 2-minute warning.”
What that “all-new” commercial will entail is anyone’s guess, but we’re betting there’s more skin involved.
So why is there a Victoria’s Secret Super Bowl ad? You can watch the video above if you don’t want a spoiler, but if you think about it the connection is obvious [SPOILER ALERT]: The super Bowl is February 1st, Valentine’s Day is only 13 days later, and a guy can make himself AND his lady happy if he gets her something special from the lingerie giant. It’s that simple, and that good.
