Everyone always hopes for the best weather on their wedding day.
However, how can you plan for a wildfire wedding?
On Saturday, April and Michael Wolber’s wedding plans were revised when smoke and flames consumed the forests surrounding their big day at Rock Springs Ranch, which lies just outside of Bend, Oregon.
Right before the couple exchanged their vows, a brush fire grew out of control.
“It was like a movie,” Michael Wolber told The Oregonian, “We saw a fire truck roll up with sirens blaring.”
But he wasn’t about to let this incident ruin their ceremony, even if they were forced to speed things up.
“I remember looking at the pastor saying . . . I have to marry April today, and I have to marry her here,” the groom told Fox 12 Oregon.
The newlywed husband has called his marriage “the most beautiful ceremony either of us could have ever imagined,” despite the wedding party having to be relocated shortly after their kiss.
Extraordinary photos of the bride and groom kissing in front of the wildfire have since gone viral on the Internet.
