A woman in Indonesia is selling her house, and has offered to marry whoever buys it, Time reported. Although she said a marriage isn’t necessary to purchase the house, she’s putting the offer out there because she’s looking for a husband.
The 40-year-old woman, Wina Lia, posted a real estate listing for her home with an asking price of $76,500.
For that amount, the house includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, parking, spacious backyard and a fish pond—and possibly a new wife.
Lia specified in the ad:
“Buyers who don’t negotiate the price can ask the owner to marry (terms and conditions apply).”
Lia is a apparently a single mother, who got the idea for the ad when she mentioned to a friend that she wanted to find a partner. The friend suggested the tagline “buy the house and marry the owner at the same time,” and Lia decided to go with it.
Lia’s listing has subsequently gone viral.
Dian Purna Dirgantara, Lia’s realtor, said he’s been receiving hundreds of inquiries about the listing.
“Since yesterday morning there are continuous calls, I don’t count how many, there must be dozens or even hundreds,” he said. “If someone just wants the house, they can have that.”
