Woman’s Last Post on Facebook Caused This Accident — Find Out What Her Final Words Were

Taking selfies while driving has become so commonplace that you probably see people doing it all the time. You also probably hear about all of the accidents that happen because people are too distracted to pay attention to the road.

Just moments after posting a selfie to her Facebook wall with the words “That happy song makes me HAPPY,” 32-year-old Courtney Sanford crashed her Toyota Corolla into a recycling truck and was instantly killed.

Her vehicle was travelling at 45 miles per hour when it veered out of her lane into oncoming traffic.

When police arrived on the scene and her cell phone was retrieved, her Facebook post was still on the screen with her final words.

“The Facebook text happened at 8:33. We got the call on the wreck at 8:34,” said High Point police department Lt. Chris Weisner.

Texting and driving, social media and driving — don’t do it. Seriously. We’re not kidding.
