The photographs featured above are of some of the most influential musicians of all time, including Frank Zappa, Elton John, Eric Clapton, and David Crosby. They were captured by photographer John Olson throughout 1971, and can be found in the LIFE archives.
These photos portray the love the musicians’ parents and grandparents had for their children, as well as the support they had for their amazing talents.
It’s really cool to get a glimpse into the relationship between these artists and their families. From the looks of it, their parents were also just as creative and progressive.
